ABOUT THE TEAM.
Founded in the 1960s as a varsity rowing program named "Talon Rowing Team", it eventually became a club sport in the 1990s. To this day, AU Rowing Club remains to be a strong club team with increasing numbers every academic year. Experienced and inexperienced rowers and coxswains take part in this physically and mentally challenging sport.

WHAT WE DO.
During fall and spring training, this student-run club drives to the Anacostia Community Boathouse four mornings of the week. Winter training consists of workouts both at the boathouse and lifting sessions at the university gyms.

AU Rowing Club competes at several head races in the fall, erg sprints during the winter season, and multiple regattas in the spring.
